Construction Surveyor/Technologist

We're looking for an experienced construction surveyor/technologist who enjoys working in the field, solving problems, coordinating construction activities, and ensuring projects are delivered accurately, safely, and efficiently.
Here's how you'll be making an impact:

Perform construction layouts and staking for grading, underground utilities, roadways, sidewalks, and other municipal infrastructure.

Conduct topographic, as-built, and quantity surveys using GPS, total stations, and other surveying equipment.

Review grades, elevations, and utility alignments, as well as identify potential conflicts before and during construction.

Maintain accurate survey records, field notes, and as-built documentation.

Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) inspections.
Here's what we are looking for:

Diploma or degree in civil engineering technology, geomatics engineering technology, surveying, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in construction surveying, municipal infrastructure, or civil construction (experience requirements may vary based on the candidate).

Proficiency with GPS and Total Station surveying equipment.

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office; familiarity with survey processing software is an asset.

Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure construction standards, including grading, underground utilities, and roadways.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Valid Class 5 driver's licence with the ability to travel to project sites.

Experience with land development and municipal infrastructure projects, including:

roadways, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and intersections

water, sanitary, and storm sewer systems

earthworks and grading
